A dog barks because it is a dog. a pig squeals because it is a pig. When the dog barks at you it is simply confirming that it is a dog. it is not trying to determine your worth as a person.
in the same way when somebody keeps on saying bad things about and against you, that reveals who he is not who you are. the one who is badmouthing you has a badmouth and it is not your mouth- it is his/hers.
relax and enjoy life. let the dogs bark
